The Cobra 45s are a popular Melbourne-based, 6-piece rhythm & blues dance band specializing in high-energy rock n roll, rockabilly, jump blues and swing, mostly drawn from the 50s–70s. 

The band performs regularly across metro and regional venues, including pubs and clubs, Rock n Roll dances, festivals, car and hot rod shows. 

The band is recognized for its professional approach and sound, live-only music (no backing tapes) high-energy "red-hot" playing style and its mix of rock n roll, doo wop, 50s 60s 70s rhythm & blues and rockabilly. The band’s 2026 playlist features the music of Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Little Richard, Gene Vincent, Jimmy Reed, Ritchie Valens, Johnny Burnette, Elvis, Dion, Sam Cooke and many more.
